BNC connectors in rca i/c

I know we were yapping about matching i/c and clearly it's better to match than not also to spring for the more expensive (with in reason) over generics. I was cruising E-Bay and came across a site pitching Canare Cable a famous name in i/c. Well the rap turned into it's construction and they claim to have built in BNC connectors inside the RCA ended cables. How could this be ,BNCs were and are used for securing and locking in video cameras. Well jokingly I asked for a sample of a meter to see what's up w/ this product. Has anyone ever heard of this For $44 for a meter and a 1/2 it doesn't sound like a bad deal.

You usually can remove that BNC adapter from the RCA ends, it's not a biggie. BNC was most common on vintage gear, very little today.HT SYSTEM-

BNCs are more the provenance of test equipment and scientific apparatus; I don't think you'll find many (if any) in vintage consumer hifi. For whatever reaosn, they also tend to turn up on DACs. I have used a BNC to RCA adaptor and a BNC cable on DACs (FWIW).
They're typically used with 52 or 72 ohm coaxial cable (RG-58, RG-59, RG-6, etc.).

Whenever I would connect a 5-wire BNC cable to a projector, I would sing "BNC" to the tune of "TNT" by AC/DC.
'Cause I'm BNC I'm dynamite
BNC and I'll win the fight
BNC I'm a power load
BNC watch me explode
I never had any BNC explode, though. Just a few projector lamps.

See Lew BNC on one end RCA on the other.
I use Canare not bad cable. I make my own. That is a good price and the crimp tool to crimp on the ends is 75.00. -
Unless you have a piece of gear that only has BNC connections, might as well forget you ever heard the term. Very few people still use those, and when they do, it's the adapters for certain connections that leave them no choice.HT SYSTEM-

So clearly no benefit to this. I always used them to lock down the video side of of cameras and monitors. I do like the fact it does lock but if it doesn't really change the i/c world then back to nice tight fitting quality I/Cs. Man did they really poured it on and I kinda bought into it hook ,line and you know what.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E

I like the twist lock collar -- but again I am used to them in scientific instrumentation.

Can anybody say "10BASE2" . Lol, used a lot during the 80's when I worked in the VSAT field.
