I have a very similar FR curve but a much different room. Null at 75, peak at 50. Are those corrected? just checking.
You should consider changing location (obviously) or a BFD to knock down the hump, boost the null (a little) and maybe a little house curve for good measure.Graham -
I don't think he corrected. I just sent him the spreadsheet and we will flip it around. He should be reposting in about 30 minutes.

Here it is -- with correction factors..
Phase - 45, sounds best (to me, maybe not the computer)
X0 - 80hz
Hook up - LFE
Gain - 12 oclock
Sub gain on preamp - 0- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Here is the graph at 0 degrees- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.
-
Sweep 180 Degrees -- much flatter, still have that dip and i lost low end extention...- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Don't you have your preamp's X/O set at 60 hz ? i.e. the sub ain't gonna help at 80 hz !?
-
I'm getting to that bob...h/o a second...
180 degrees, 60hz crossover- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Bob ?
Ok Sam ... -
90 degrees (not 45, and the first graph isnt 45, its 90) - 60hz- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

hehe...bob is just a name i call everyone...
I have a big surprise...i ran them on full range -- i'll show that graph in a second...LOL- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Looks like Phase at "0" is best Sponge-Sid. Make sure you only mess with 1 "parameter" at a time, ie..mess with XO first, once its done, then move on to level, phase, etc...step by step. It will reduce alot of confusion.
Another thing I noted was that moving my sub just a few inches different from where previous measurements were taken--made a difference, in other words--keep the sub in the same spot everytime or your graphs won't be consistent.
Remove as many "variables" as possible, and it will be alot easier; I did mine i this order:
1. Set crossover until flatest curve was attained.
2. Adjusted phase if needed
3. Adjusted sub "level" to be consistent with main speakers
4. Experiment with blocking ports, etc..

This chart...most definetely explains why I had so much bass with speaker wire, full range -- 70hz crossover, 180 degrees. I moved things, and this chart explains... hits VERY LOW, VERY HARD..
and hits very hard at most all levels. I LOVE THIS CHART...BUAHAHAH SWEETNESS!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Here is the last chart, 70hz, full range - 90 degrees- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Well, I've met my minimum daily requirement for charts...
That 180 deg setting ain't bad... Off 3 dB around 20 Hz. Nasty room notch around 85 Hz seems to be the one constant.More later,

Yeah, what Tour said:)
Sid, you can try the crossover the other way (90 hz.. another tip Doc gave me) for that null at 85 hz. But overall pretty good. Might need to relocate the sub as well but if it sounds good really up to you.
Sid,
Believe it or not, you have just undertaken an exercise in the practical application of basic algebra. The spreadsheet I sent you uses the formula for interpolation of coordinates between two points in two dimensions. I don't know if you have taken algebra yet, but this is an example of the formulas practical application to get the correction factor for the Radio Shack meter at test tones "in-between" the published values. This does assume that the correction is linear though (which isn't a bad assumption at that small of an interval).
I interpolate all the time at work actually for my job. Steam tables that is.....
Nice looking curve though you little rascal;) I don't know why the spreadsheet flipped the chart around and put a gray background. Might be something to do with my newer version of Excel or something. Have fun with it and enjoy the sub now. -

Steam tables??? I'll bet you still use a slide rule, too...
LOL.. no slide rule for me Tour. Steam tables yes. I've been working on a steam desuperheater optimization and still use the good ole steam tables w/ enthalpy balances manually.
Anyhow, I was trying to emphasize the importance of algebra in the derivation of the correction factor chart. Hopefully, the "youngster" could appreciate some value in education and the opportunities that it may provide for him if he takes high school / college seriously.
However, I realize at the same time that school isn't for everybody. But he seems to be a bright chap. -
