They're pretty good for modern hardware -- they were pretty reasonably priced as well.
Personally, I (slightly) prefer the push-pull parallel EL84, stereo "Stingray", but I am, by and large, just not a big fan of EL34s.
So... you (the OP) don't know the saga of the late David Manley, EveAnna "Vanimal" Manley, and Manley Labs? You've missed so, so much.

I will say that Manley's products strike me as quite reasonably priced for what they are. I think you can spend 10x the price of most of their components and get... well, probably not less -- but less robust construction.
I am a fan, even though I don't own a single piece of their equipment.
