Change of mind on n00b HT system , opinions please .
Hi all ,
Luv the forum and great feedback responses I see here . With that in mind I would like your opinion(s) on my current "possible" change of mind on my recently purchased starter sytem mostly to change to bigger fronts and smaller sub) . I have the option to return item(s) to Cruthfield by 5/14/04 .
I recently purchased these items from Crutchfield on a tight HT starter budget :
CURRENT SETUP:
FRONTS : RTi4's = $260
CENTER : CSi3 = $200
SUB : PSW303 = $300
PRE TOTAL = $760
-$200 DISCOUNT verses free PSW202 SUB
TOTAL = $560
(Circuitcity demos purchased : RTi28's = REARS)
POSSIBLE SYSTEM CHANGE :
FRONTS : RTi6's = $380
CENTER : CSi3 = $200
SUB : PSW202 = FREE/POLK PROMOTION
TOTAL = $580
(Circuitcity demos purchased : RTi28's = REARS)
As you can see , not much of a change but as it entails bigger fronts and a smaller sub from my current setup with a $20 difference in price .
Which system would be the better way to go (in your opinions) as this system will be used in a small 12X12 room and for 90% HT (movies/tv) , 10% music.
I initially kinda shyed away from the PSW202 due to reviews I have read , but am willing to reconsider it depending on the comments I receive here .
Also the demo RTi28's from Circuitcity will be upgraded (1yr upgrade policy) sometime down the road for RTi6's or RTi4's depending on which way I go with this setup.
Iam also in the process of moving to a brand new house , so Ive have not been able to test out the PSW303 (still in unopened box) . I have tested the rest of the system and do like the RTi4's and CSi3 .
Again money is tight (due to the house move) and I prefer not to spend anymore $$$ at this time than the two proposed systems above . Your opinions on which system would be better for the long haul will be MUCH appreciated !!!
*edited*
(Basicly is it better to have a little better fronts for now and a little less sub ? )
TIA ,

Some may disagree, but here goes.
Go with the least expensive option for right now, there are many things more important than an upgrade at this point. Get in the house, get settled. That would be the most important step at this point. Spend your money on the family and on the house first, then worry about the gear. You can always upgrade, and then upgrade some more. -

I agree to some point , but Iam single , there is no wife or kids . I will have my mom with me as she's getting up in years but she's in xint health .
My available house move in date is 4/27/04 , but the actual moving-in will be scaled over the next couple of months .
Basically , I started this little project 3 months ago , and have finally decieded to go with Polks (over 3 other systems Ive tried) . I want to do this now (finish what I started) , get it done and over with and concentrate on the more important items from here on out . This amount of money spent now on a small HT system will have no bearing or negetive affect on anything in the near future .

Well in that case move up to the 6's, keep the 303, and consider a Csi5 center channel. Keep in mind that the center channel is going to handle 70-80% of the sound in any movie sound track.
