Problems

Currently running RM7500 speakers with an Onkyo reciever. There seems to be some type of cracks in the sound, high pitched noise that sometimes occurs when im playing a DVD in DTS mode. This usually occurs during the movie where there arent that many lows and A LOT of highs. Dont think its the speakers, because when i change the audio to Dolby Digital, i dont have it anymore. Might be the amp or the DVD player. I have a JVC 7-Disc prog scan player. If anyone has encountered this before or has some tips on how to isolate the problem and take care of it. Basically, anyone with any suggestions would be appriciated , im really desperate to get this problem taken care of ASAP. Thanks so much.

I'm having the same problem when selecting chapters in the DTS mode. It's a sharp snap or crack type sound. I'm using Onkyo's Tx-Ds595 receiver and JVC's xv-m567 DVD player. When playing a DVD in DTS on my PS2 I don't get the same result concluding the receiver is fine. I'm really close to having it sent out for service soon unless someone out there knows a simple fix for this problem.

Did you notice you both have JVC DVD players----and the same problems? Maybe it is a good thing that I didn't go with the JVC.

This is quite interesting. Im going to get a different DVD player and see if the problem persists. I will also try to get in touch with JVC and see if they have a fix of some type for this.
