Arrived today.....what a beauty!
So if you don't hear from me for a couple of days, you'll know it's because I've got company.
She knows how to bump,
so if the house is rockin...don't bother knockin.

C'mon, Miles - don't keep us in suspense. At least post some first impressions compared to the ISD. Then we'll let you go and play.
I'll finally be dialing in the PB2-Ultra this weekend, so I'll be thinking of you.

Hey Ed,
I can still remember the way my head felt when your room pressurized during a few of your demos when I came to visit at Christmas! I'd love to FEEL the difference with the new beast. Have fun.

Hi Steve:
You are welcome back anytime you are in town - in fact I would be disappointed if you didn't call.
Both can play louder than is needed even for aggressive HT. It boils down to SQ and bass presentation, in which the PB2-Ultra has an edge of the PB2+. Not a huge edge, but an edge nevertheless.
Bass is a bit more detailed, seems to be even more non-localized, and when things get really hairy, the PB2-U lifts and separates notes, conveys changes in amplitude, and makes the stretch for that last dB of deep impact even better than the PB2+. I'm quite sure it's a combination of the sheer motor strength (BL product), and the under hung design which maintains a constant BL even at/near the excursion limits."What we do in life echoes in eternity"

As soon as I can pull myself out of the zone I will get back to you guys with a comparison. but I have to say...I fully support everything you have said about this baby. DEEEEP, Clean bass, without the boom. A wonderful, precise, warm sound.
