    We were actually going to do the Keys this year, but after the hurricanes last season we switched gears and went back to Grayton Beach---thinking it would be awhile before the keys were recovered.

    Put Siesta Key Captiva Island and Marco Island on your list of FL Destinations. Only a few hours from each other here on the Gulf Coast....Siesta Key maybe the nicest beach in the CONUS

    We drive from central tx to the destin area every other summer for the family vaca. LOVE that area. Yea it’s humid but constant water immersion and margaritas more than make up for it...

    I live in the Atlanta area. In the late 50's, my Dad and I went fishing every year in Destin. There were only one or two motels. Things have really changed.

    I like that 30A area too. One of the things I like to do take the drive to Pensacola to the Naval Air Museum where the Blue Angels practice most weeks. Awesome show and the planes in the museum are awesome too.

    The trip back from Pensacola is always along the National Seashore Highway between Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach. The drive is about nine miles of beach with no development. Heavenly Bliss!!

    Well shoot. I had no idea so many polkies lived around destin area. I am in Panama City beach until the 13th. I actually own a condo here and eventually will move here.
