Monitor 7 needs power ?

Hello, first post. I've just found a pair of mint Polk audio monitor 7b (Sl2000 tweeter, year: 1985 on woofer and crossover). I did the rdo-194 replacement. My amplifier is a Sansui au-417 65 watts but these speakers seems to take a lot of juice before it sounds decent, I need to crank the volume otherwise the tweeter sounds predominant and the woofer very subtle . Too loud for my normal listenning volume. Both woofers read something like 3,6 ohm on multimeter. It is a matter of effiency or something with the polyswitches ? I also plan to recap and probably replace the polyswitches with resistors. For the moment I prefer my 5bs which are easier to drive and seems to have more mid-bass.

Also be mindful of the polarity...
