    Got HDMI?

Yeah, and I thought that I could use the ARC to get the TV signal to the Cambridge. That doesn't work and I prefer not to do that anyway. I think I have to take it in to the Geek Squad because it's only a 40". I don't want those people in my house anyway.

Solved the problem by connection the coax from my BR. I only want to use it on occasion and this is a perfect solution.

The BR went weird on me after playing a data disc. I went into settings and changed it to PCM from Bitstream and it worked again. Maybe the data disc switched it to Bitstream? I switched the TV to PCM but I have to get back there and connect a cable to see it corrected the problem too. Too tired to try it now, I may get stuck back there and starve to death.

If it won't play you should be able to convert the signal to a PCM stream that the DAC can handle. Most standalone dacs won't do Dolby or dts

I agree with Skip. I had same issue/sound during play back when I first hooked up my Samsung smart TV via Opt. to my little SMSL DAC. Then I switched the TV's playback to PCM and its worked ever since.
