If you do get balls, use them flat side down and dont peel off the sticky flat side. The raw (spherical side is way too sticky). Anyway if you do use the 2" it will be pretty effective.

I had a home made turntable with a plywood plinth, a connoissur table and an SME arm. I screwed very small eye bolts into the plinth and used nylon string to hang it.

BTW, one of the Polkies sent me a load of Classic 45's damned if I can remember who. Anyway, talk about foot stomps or steps. Every three minutes I have to stomp my a$$ to the TT to flip or change the disc. It was a problem with 1.25" balls but not now. Me and my kids have parties trying to break the house. The house still stands lol.
