1958 Valvo Hamburg ECC82 long plate, slant halo tubes

Options
More from the vault so to speak.

One of my all time best sounding ECC82/12AU7's. 1958 Valvo made in Hamburg, long gray ladder plate, slant halo no post. Strong, lots of life left.

Great soundstage, delicate highs, tight bass. One of the best around. Long plates are getting harder and harder to find. Only partial labels left.

$150 for the pair, shipped and insured. Paypal preferred, friends and family. Will take a check from a known member.

Don has a great collection of tubes going, many gotten from me....lol.

I have been cataloging my tubes in an excel spread sheet as time permits and didn't realize how many I have collected.

If anyone is feeling sad they missed out, I have another pair available.

    Same deal as above.

These are superb tubes. They combine the best attributes of the Mullard and Holland sound in one tube. These are my favorite ECC82 as evidenced by the fact that I own 9 pairs.....lol. Had to make sure I had some for a rainy day. :p

Here's another's review of the tube:

tubemaze on September 30, 2013 at 1:38 PM said:

Super rare tube from Hamburg factory of Valvo from 1957. The way to describe this tube is that – Mullard long plates []-getter is not even close – this Valvo kills it. It that’s not enough in tube description then… I will add more. This tube is more musical than anything else I’ve tried – I was able to hear nuances of instruments with it the way that no other tube was able to reproduce – it’s practically impossible to take this tube out of an amp! Great bass and superb transients make this tube a strong contender for first place in 12au7 family. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Not so much that.....but taking inventory, one realizes maybe they were crazy to buy so many! Lmao. I tend to get into hoard mode and once I take a step back, sometimes it's time to let go.

I throw a few out here now and then or if I see someone looking for something. Or people contact me directly to see if I have anything for them. I'd like to keep them in the family. Not selling anywhere else.

A new member contacted me via PM about some Dared Sl2000a info so I'm helping him out.
