New Amp!

got a replacement amp for the Autotek- Alpine MRD-501.

very very nice amp! I more bass now then I need, Gain is at 0 and had to turn the bass off on the hu and on the eq! Funny thing is....Its only running one sub..cause the other one is being replaced! Not sure what I'm gonna do when i get that other sub. ITs gonna be extreme...and these are just 10's :)

    what kind of vehicle?

    this makes me slightly worried about my sub selection. i don't want to buy more than i need, but i don't want to get my install done and turn it on and go, "hey, there's not enough bass," and have to go back and add more. i'm worrying about this because i want it to be a clear, clean decision with no guessing and no loose ends. there's a lot of money going in to this, and i want it to be right. i guess what i'm asking is, "how does one deal with this situation?"

    I have 2 idq' 10's. One came bad in the box and has been shipped back for replacement...No biggie really!

    Thinking this morning...hehe... remembered that there is a level input on the amp...guess I need to go to -db....its a 0 now!

    neat amp with the digital controls...though limited in gain levels: 0,6,9.....

    but it really does the job. I ran a dedicated 4g line for her- since she is special...:rolleyes:

    BTW..its in a tahoe...

    Yessir, I really, REALLY like the Alpine V12 amps. They are expensive as hell but are clean as a whistle and sound so good. I have the V Power Alpine amps now and although they are not that powerful I love the sound. They are very warm and smooth sounding and razor sharp detail!
