I thought the going rate was more like $20, but if it's quality work from someone you trust then by all means.

    It's actually a 9.5 inch woofer, in a 12" basket with a fiberboard ring.

$30 a woof isn't robbery, assuming everything works, and they are clean (or you clean them up), they can bring $250-$400 / pair - depending of course if someone in your area is looking for them.

    Cheers,
    Russ

so i assume these are pick up only type sales.. I want to sell them.. I have the grills and everything, the tweets and mid works great, i disconected the woofer and am taking it to speaker world locally.. The guy sounds real knowledgable and knew what speakers these were, when about they were made and said he had the foam and parts if they needed fixing.. Im gonna clean the speakers, dust off and the cloth wiped. the cross over is covered in dust.. The woofs should be done thursday he said.. I will post cleaned pictures later tonight... Thanks for the info.. These have brown sides and black grill cloth, and a metal grill to cover the back guts

It would probably cost close to 30 bucks for the refoam kit anyway so 60 bucks isn't too bad. They are REALLY easy to refoam though.....I just did an 8" Advent (my first attempt at this)and it was very easy.

For what you've got in 'em, I'd put the smart money on keeping them for a 2ch rig.

Not knocking your current gear, but they are lightyears ahead of the other speakers you own.

    Cheers,
    Russ

you guys really think thier ugly? :D The camera brings out the dust big time. Im going to clean them some more tomorrow.. Glue back the grill cloth on the bottoms. and tuner cleaner the crossover after i get some.. I already old englished the wood panels so they look nice now... after i get the refoamed woofs.. i plan to demo them and enjoy their unique sound... But they are to big for my small florida room.. 2 channel rig room.. They will be resold on e-bay, eventually... A neighbor was gonna toss them out and i intervened and asked for them, I got them free and now am getting the woofs refoamed for the resale.. Otherwise i would part them out.. which i don't want to do.. and wont

This isn't a speaker that you "part out", because it won't get you much money anyways....but beings you paid nothing, I guess it's moot.

You should just throw them in the trash, like your neighbor.....because you have no idea what the heritage, or history is on that speaker.

Not every piece of gear, and/or great deal that finds oneself is meant for immediate Ebay auction.

Have fun with them, good luck.

Oh get over it!! My bread my friend is buying and selling.. I would part it out if they werent in such good shape period..

I will sell these speakers and buy my wife her Anniversary gift ive been saving for, It means more to me then some older speakers that you guys deem priceless.. it wasnt my "neighbor friend".. It was a few streets up if you want/ need to know the facts/// I came across them after a bike ride with my kids... I asked if they were trash and they said yes, take them.. I had to wait for my wife to come home with the truck to get them... and my mom stopped by so i used her car and picked them up, hence the time frame of me posting and actually getting them, Im putting almost 60 bucks into them to make some money for other things... I truely would consider keeping them if i had the room, Ask spastic how small my Fla. room is and house for that matter.. no room for DQ-10's... I already stated i wouldnt part them out... Sorry for posting to the speaker god and not pleaseing you with my plans

My my how things don't change around here...
