Charger/Challenger owners....

Watch this video. At the beginning, ignore the seatbelt chimes---then listen to the 10 distinct "chirps". What does this mean? My Charger does this as well, and I have no idea. Numerous internet searches have turned up NADA. Chirps are at 0:15.

    Exactly. All this tech-stuff they put in these things, there's no telling which "system" is trying to tell me something. Don't know if it's the Uconnect, or ParkSense, or some other whiz-bang "feature." No dash indications..just the funny chirping at start-up.

    I JUST noticed, that's a Ford (Mustang I guess?), but my sound is exactly the same.

    It looks like it's coming from the GPS stolen vehicle system (SWAT Karr Recovery, Inc.)that has not been activated. Anybody know how to remove this T_U_R_D? (Apparently a dealer add-on that they didn't activate). It's "chirping" to let me know it hasn't been activated.

    I have a 09 Challenger srt8 and no chirps. That is odd.

    This is likely a dealer-specific add-on. I just spoke to my dealer and told her that if this is a "pay-for" service, deactivate it.

    Sheesh, cars are like damn cell-phones anymore, 50lbs of crapware preloaded, for YOUR (in)convenience.

    It's not activated yet, that's why I'm getting the annoying alarm beeps when I start the car. Think of it like a shareware "nag screen" until you pay for the program...LOL

    Many people have GPS in their vehicle, and don't even know it--because if you decline it, they just leave it in there, deactivated. This is also done with pre-installed car alarm systems customers don't want. Some time in the future, when you discover it's there, YOU end up having to get someone to remove it if you don't want it drawing on your battery.

    Should have made them remove it instead. After all, they paid an aftermarket vendor to install it in the first place.
