Figure we can start posting the dumb eff's from ebay that you got screwed on. I'll start. Sent payment and was recieved (paypal), asked the guy if i could arrange pick up (UPS) since he was overcharging me a little and he replied back saying that was fine. So i replied asking the spec (boxes, weight qty..etc..) and havent heard back from the effer. This was a week ago on what i guess wont be my Monitor 7A's. Have sent him and email a day and NO Response. Dont deal with this %&*&%$

The guy has decent feedback, and has some items up for sale currently - give it some time.

What did he over-charge you on?

12 bucks a speaker is pretty good... Not to bad anyways... But if you can get it free through work, i see your point...

I would request his user unfo, which will include home city and phone number, call em/... and wait it out.. maybe a side business for him and he's busy.

    not getting a response.

Well, not getting what you paid for, or not getting paid is, but give it some time. The guy will probably come through. It's not like we all do eBay full time.

Also, not everyone gets a discount or free shipping at work. So, your perception is different than his and for that matter, most of us.. $12 a speaker isn't bad for shipping/handling. Perhaps he's gotta buy some packaging? Perhaps they come to p/u? Everyone makes a buck of two on shipping, it's inherent to the system.

I gotta say though, a week is far too long without a shout out to ya. Like hey, my Grandma died or somethin' lame...

I have a love hate relationship with eBay. I love to hate 'em!

I've come to this conclusion about eBay, if it can happen, it will.

Don't worry, besides the incovenience, paypal has that $500 refund policy. Was his acct and your acct confirmed? As a buyer, you have a lot of options with paypal.

    Good luck!

Well the shipping is only from Miami to Tampa (4-5hours give or take) so 12 bucks a speaker is more than it actually costs IMHO. And as far as the refund policy i would get around $1 since the total purchase was 28.00 or so then there is a $25 processing fee.....SO that i why i am getting worried. Only like 30 bucks(paypalfees etc) i would be out but to most of us that is ALOT of money

    I see your point.

Although, sounds like the speakers sold for far below cost. I see that all the time, they try to make it up on the back end with shipping.

If all else fails, can you reverse the charge via credit card?

I had a guy buy a camera from me, he paid via paypal, then changed his mind about the purchase and reversed the charge. Paypal held the funds for like a month, did what they call an "investigation", and then credited him back. Seemed like it wasn't the first time this guy has done it either. A real nut job!

I had already shipped, he refused shipment, and I was out the shipping, and listing fees. All I had left was a camera and a lot of aggravation...

On a happier note, I turned around and sold the camera for $50 more to someone who appreciated it.

I posted a thread a while ago about eBay and got some really good feedback from the forum. Might want to do a search on it here.
