I am replacing my Mits. WD-65738 DPL. I was hanging a clock for my wife behind the TV, lost my balance, fell and knocked it off the stand. It landed face-first, and the glass panel inside the set shattered!
This forced me to get a new TV, and begin the adventure of moving to 4K, HDR, DV, blah, blah, blah...
Recently decided on a new Vizio M75-E1 from Costco (great deal!) and a Sony UBP-X700 4K Blu Ray player, and now it's time to replace my beloved Onkyo 806, which has served me well for 9-10 years. It does not do 4K, and there are HDMI handshake issues between it and the other new components.
I am looking at a few receivers, and wanted to know if any of you have any experience or opinions on my potential choices. They are:
Not sure which way to go here - The 820 is priced nicely, I like the Onkyo sound, and I've had 2 that have served me well. However, I am unsure of AccuEQ Room Calibration, the potential that the subs cannot be calibrated separately, and the fact that apparently the display on the new Onkyos does not show the audio format, just the source. Please note the speakers that I have in my sig., and I do not have an external amp.
Also, would any of you hesitate to buy from Accessories4Less because of only 1 yr. warranty on refurbs?
I have been researching on AVS and elsewhere, and it's exhausting. Much more difficult than the TV decision.

- Onkyo TX-RZ820
- Onkyo TX-RZ920 (don't necessarily need extra channels)
- AVR-X3400H (underpowered)
- AVR-X4200H (older model, underpowered?)
- Denon AVR-X4300H (don't necessarily need extra channels)
- Denon AVR-X4400H ($$$, don't need extra channels)
