Final dac- Twisted pear audio 9028 with Mercury output

This is it!!! Best digital I've heard. The BAT preamp and power amplifier are making this dac sound so good. TPA Buffalo pro 9028 with the mercury output stage. New control face in cherry. Old carpathian burl case from the Buffalo III. Sonora Utrarender to the usb input to the t0vhelkh5eun.jpg
Amanero usb converter. It will use the one I2S for the Amanero and the spdif iput will have a 4 input 4:1 adapter so I can have 2 optical inputs and 2 coax inputs. These SDA 2.3s have never sounded this good!!!!!

Not a bad pic for a tablet and no flash.

Kewl! Congrats! That output stage is amazing.

My 9028/Mercury is still on a cookie sheet. I had to get another Arduino shield from Dimitris (dimdim) and have yet to assemble and test it. Working too many hours.

Once I get Arduino control I'll design an enclosure.

I simplified this one. I use the ultrarender 97% of the time. No Otto or teleporters. It's great to play dsf direct no switching needed. I think I'm using the fast apodizing linear or the hybrid fast minimum phase filters. This dac really upped the sq.

This is where I hit pause....I believe I had a bad isolation chip as it would connect with 9028 from the dirty side. However, dimdim is using a BIII 9018 board with a 9028 chip on it.

I'm thinking I might be using the North Star Venti at AXPONA. It has the 9038 and is superb. These new chips from Sabre are excellent and worth the effort. Good luck Rich!

I like that case Biker and happy you're enjoying it.
