Suggestions for surrounds\center speaker with old SDAs as main speakers

I' have a pair of "Stereo Dimensional Array" speakers- (the ones that have cable between left and right speakers). They are I believe the next to largest model (39"H). They sound great- and would like to build a home theater around them. I'm confused on how to match them up with surrounds and a center channel.

I guess one factor would be "correct timber" and another would be the fact there is sort of a natural "center" channel provided by how the SDAs work.

I'm not sure how much power they can handle- or their "efficiency"- but I was thinking of going with a Bryson SP 1.7 processor and 5 channel amp (200watts at 4ohms).

(I have not gone out and listened to any newer speaker technology - but I wonder how these would even compare with whats out there today!)

there is not a perfect match for these speakers.

Do a search this has been covered many times, you should find some good info.
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

    Brewster,
    Welcome to the Club.

I like the CS400 and f/x1000's with my SRS's. Still see the 400's on ebay fairly often, but seldom see the 1000's anymore.

It sounds like you have SDA2's. I have SDA2's as my rears and
bought SDA1-C's as my fronts. I have a Polk CS400i as my
center and it sounds fantastic to my ears. You might look
on ebay for a CS400i to use as a center. For rears you could
get a pair of monitor 10's that use the same tweeter as
your 2's. You could also pick up another pair of SDA2's
to use as rears or find a set of 1C-s as fronts. When I listen
to stereo music it comes through my 1-C's and sounds
    great. Love my SDA's!
