Amperex/Holland 12AU7A and Valvo Hamburg

Been digging through my collection and selling off any tubes I haven’t been using, some of these I have so many pairs that I will never use.

First pair is 1965 12AU7A Amperex Holland tubes. Matching date codes, test strong. Silkscreen is 80% intact, really beautiful graphics, condition is near perfect. Both are super quiet in my phono stage.

    Second pair are Valvo Hamburg short plate 45degree halo, matching 1959 date codes. These are labeled Harman Kardon. Silkscreen is very fragile, partly rubbed off. Again these are super clean and very quiet. They test as nos. Asking 80$ in Canadian funds.

    I will probably regret selling the Hamburg’s. These are very good tubes! I have a few other pairs in better condition so these I will reluctantly let go. I need to fund my new to me 6SN7 addiction.

    Also have some nice RCA NOS 5814’s I might be letting go, with original boxes.

    Hey skip, looks like the Amperex have sold to Mike. The Hamburg’s are left, I have a quad of almost pristine RCA 5814 JRC tubes, let me check tonight.

    The bugle boys are sold. These Hamburg tubes are reallllly good tubes. I Thought people would be all over those!

    $80 CAD is a phenomenal deal for the Valvo Hamburg 45 degree halo getter tubes. They are excellent tubes. IMO, the long plates are a little better (especially in the soundstage). However, the clarity is a little better in the short plates. Someone should buy these. I have no need for 12AU7's, or I would buy them myself.

    Going to post these RCA 5814 black plate tubes. I purchased these military tubes as NOS with boxes, 1st pair are 1963 with matching date codes, 2nd pair are 62 and 63 but are identical construction. These are a tightly matched quad results are marked on the box. I used them in my Cary preamp for roughly 50 hours, these are very quiet tubes, with support rods between micas. Asking 80 for the quad. You don’t see them this nice anymore!
