Polk SDA-2B bases

Years ago I had to get rid of the deteriorating (from dog per) base from my left channel speaker. I was getting ready to duplicate the ols base and am wondering if there is a mod?

Could you upload a photo of your speaker? There are at least 3 different cabinet styles on 2Bs and it would help you to get good advice.

I pulled my bases and never reinstalled them, I like the look without, and since mine sit up a little bit as part of a built-in cabinet system, I don't really miss the additional height anyway. (and, FWIW, you can have mine if you want to pickup or pay for shipping)

Sounds like the studio versions. I also don't like the bases on mine and have considered taking them off and doing something different. But they're in the closet ATM to no reason to fiddle.
