Hi guys,
Quick question, I see crutchfield if running the free sub promo again.
I need a new center channel and a few other things...anyhow..
Can I run another sub in my Theater system?
I only have one "sub-out"jack on my receiver..(Harmon AVR-430)
which is currently occupied by my PSW202.
Assumeing I can do this, will I notice a huge improvement, not that I NEED the bass, but who dosn't WANT it??

I appricaite it
Brett

yes u can run two subs, the best way to run them is to stack them. you can get a y splitter at a radioshack or sumthin to split the lfe signal. or run the lfe cable to one sub and then run another line from the 1st sub to the second. this is assuming the psw202 has a line out. sorry im too lazy to check but i know my sub does so i imagine that others would. good luck

You will need a Y splitter from Radio Shack, the 202 does not have a line out.

    Wouldn't I need TWO y splitters, I have a L and R going in the sub.
    One for each?

You dont need two (it would be 3 anyway). You can use one splitter and one of the inputs, L or R on each sub.

I just checked the manual. If you use both inputs (L & R) you disable the low pass filter. If you use just one input the filter is activated, but you can set it to the highest and it will have little affect. Either way is fine

use two (actually 3) putting the signal into the L and R inputs instead of just 1 yields a dB increase i think, like 3 maybe? i dunno i could be wrong but i thought it did.

Right now I have the inputs connected to both...should I just use one?
Any negative effects of using both, (besides no filter)

No, by using both you will have about a 3db gain. I use both L and R on ALL my subs with a high quality Y adapter. Well worth the cost of the splitter in my experience.
