Acoustically Transparent Screen?

Does an acoustically transparent screen effect sound quality?

General pros and cons?

Thanks

The description implies that it does not... Hence "transparent". Then again it's just like anything placed in front of a speaker, that object will reflect or absorb some portion of the acoustic energy. How much depends on the material. An AT screen would be akin to a speaker grill, so if you're sensitive to that type of change, remove the grills, put the screen down and run the correction program on your AVR, that should compensate for anything the screen is doing.
  • I just ordered 135" Seymour UF 4K AT screen material. I sure hope it doesn't affect the sound. I'll be sure to report back with my impressions later.
