1984 SDA 2 restoration

Just wanted to drop a few pics of my most recent resto project. Found these beautiful ol gals in a garage under junk and empty big gulps. Nasty stains, water damage on one of the bases. Walnut veneer was very dry. Crayon on the backs, a couple of stickers, and lots of animal hair and snags on the grilles.
I used barkeepers friend on the cabinets to bleach them and get the stains out, rebuilt the damaged base with bondo and flipped the damaged area to the back of the cabinet. Sanded, oiled, powergrabbed the drivers and reassembled. Used our little battery powered rotary fabric mower to remove the snags on the grilles. I think they turned out pretty decent.

They sounded great, but I didn’t need them, so I let them go for $250 made a decent profit!
:)
