Today is Ash Wednesday, which means the huge Polish-American population around me is eating these babies. Here’s a blueberry, which they pronounce “Poonch-ka” around here. The Township I live in had the largest Norwegian-American population in the US per capital maybe still do and the Township next to me had the largest Polish-American per capita.
