Yamaha TSR-7819

Was shopping around last week at Costco, and saw the Yamaha TSR 7810......
Is it a good receiver ? (I have RTiA5 and CSiA4)
How does it compare with the Denon AVR-S930H, or the Denon X3300W?
RTiA5 + CSiA4 + Jamo SW410E
Yamaha TSR-700 (equivalent to RX V6A)
No surround...yet

The TSR series are very similar to Yamahas V series AVR's. These are Yamaha's entry level AVR's. There is a huge difference between these and the Aventage series. They even sound completely different.

Ran a V-series Yamaha with the A5's for a while. Way too bright, for my tastes, when listening to music. The version of YPAO that I had back then needed quite a bit of tweaking, but I'm pretty sure it's been improved by now.

Not saying it's a bad AVR, for what it was designed for, but I would recommend saving a little and getting an Aventage series. Check Accessories4less, if you're not opposed to factory refurbished.

Of the 3 listed above, I think the x3300 would work better for the A5's than the other two.
