Dang. You get both? Lol. Those boxes would indicate they were taken care of.
-
yup. both. Sitting in my car now (I'm back at work)
I'll unbox tonight. Got them from a gentleman older than me, if such a thing is possible, who is downsizing. -
Interesting that the box is labeled Model instead of Monitor.Political Correctness'.........defined

Nice find! Lucky!

Yes. I thought so too. Possibly series 2 monitors?
I'll put up more pictures once I get them home -
I don't think so. The address is an early location and I can't blame them for getting out of that area.Political Correctness'.........defined

Model 7 should have the Velcro grills and peerless tweets.

Box is just like mine (except the color of the printing --- and the address ). That's what they were called in the olden days...
... and... the speakers in those boxes are in fact 7As
EDIT: Oh, yeah, Carey St. those probably are the original Model 7(?!?) -- with the 8" PR.
If so - I am officially envious.
Early Polks are kinda like Po(l)kemons -- gotta catch 'em all.

These look like they've been in storage for a *very* long time. There's a couple of pieces of generic speaker wire in the bottom of the boxes that are swamp green with age corrosion. And also evidenced by the fuse holder.
Sequential serial numbers. 23295 & 23296
Cabinets are perfect. Not a nick or chip anywhere. Grille cloth is *pristine*. They pass the push test with flying colors & no rubbing or scratching from the mids
And Peerless tweets. Huzzah!
Coltrane sounds pretty good on them as I type this. :-)
Down to the bench tomorrow for power grab & dynamat. Crossover pull to get values.
A couple more pics

What's up with that mid-woofer?
I've never seen one like that.
Excuse me, yes I have. It was on a KEF center channel woofer or two that were frozen.
And the Pawnshop JUST listed it the other day. They've had it for 10 years I think!
Look at the left woofer.

@Tony M
Yeah. It does look a bit like that KEF.
I can attest though, that its not frozen & plays clean.
And, if it bothers me enough, I'll source a different mid(s)
At the cost, I've got more budget to play with :-) -

Great find @tonyp063!!
Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Wow! Nice score! A buddy of mine just picked up a vintage TT and kenwood tube receiver from CL for $8. They both work great and look damn near perfect.
