I remember reading, years ago (before regular mortals had access to teh interwebz) something along these lines (I am paraphrasing):
Ever wonder why the weather[persons] always say 'there's a 20% chance of precipitation' -- or 40%, or 60%...? Here's how it works. They ask five weatherpeople if they think it's gonna rain today. If 1 says "yeah", its a "20% chance"... If 2 say "yeah", it's a "40% chance", etc.

So the rodent saw his shadow.

It's actually a little more than 6 weeks until March 19th. It's like 6 weeks and 3 days.

So stick that in your pipe and smoke it you stupid rodent.

Heh. Gobbler's Knob...makes me laugh every year!

Canada apparently has their own version of Groundhog Day in Quebec. However, when they went to retrieve Fred la marmotte to go do his chose, he was, unfortunately, deceased. Tough day, eh?

I don't care what Phil says, meteorological spring is always March 1. Regardless, I look forward to changing the clocks more than what ever date spring starts.
Yep, my name really is Bob.
