dipole or regular speakers

i've got the rti8's at the front and a csi5 for the center. which should i get for the rears-rti6 or fxi5? when would you want the dipole as compared to regular? i'm planning to use these with DVD audio in the future.

    the rti6 will be better for multi channel music because they are more directional. the fxi5 will be better for movies because it will difuse the rear sound field and cut down on locaization. if u plan on using ur rig for movies more i would get the fx speakers, if u plan on using it more for music then id get the rt speakers.

    you will be happy with both though, it wont be unbareable to listen to music with the fx speakers and movies will still sound great with the rt speakers, just a slight difference.

    In part the choice is how far the rears are behind you. The further behind they are, the better the RTi's will do the job.

    I use FXi3 for my surrounds and could not be happier. They work terrific on DVD-A in my room. I imagine that the FXi5 would be even better.
