Hey, this is kinda cool....

Firepit fanatics UNITE. Cool product here that I'm looking into. It's got a lot of very good reviews. From Solostove.com comes the "Bonfire" firepit. Stainless steel, 14" high x 19.5" in diameter. Design is suppose to reduce smoke output and burn wood very efficiently. Retail is a little steep at $329, but it sells practically everywhere at $299. Might have to get me one:

Very Cool. I had a wood burner but converted it to LP. Not portable but has a remote!

I had one of those ss pits for several years and yes they do work great. Mine had a bit more ventilation and it came from a discarded washing machine at the scrap yard. Sadly it's getting tougher to find a ss washtub now as lots of them are plastic nowadays.

It's a little small too. I prefer a 36"-40" diameter pit so I can throw the dutch oven in there on occasion.
