Samsung The Frame TV

So the wife originally wanted a TV-free formal living room in our new place. However shortly after moving in, it became clear that the formal living room was the room we most wanted to be in while just chilling. So a temporary TV was put in the corner. Ever since we've discussed multiple options to keep a TV in the room, that would involve some way of hiding it when we have guests. Anything from power lifts, to custom cabinets, to a false walls, etc. Then came this Samsung. Problem solved! Just got done installing it last night, along with hanging a bunch of pictures. So far we're very happy with the look, as well as the quality of the TV in general. This style of TV really is long overdue IMO, but kudos to Samsung for pulling it off.pb8lp1y0u0pm.jpg

That’s cool looking, but do you have to turn your couch around to watch it?

I don't see any TV, but why did someone randomly glue a bunch of refrigerator magnet letters to that pillow?

Haha. No. There is plenty of other seating.

I would have to get 4 of them and put one on each wall so I could do all 4 of Thomas Cole's "Voyage of Life" paintings the way they are hung in The National Gallery of Art. :)

    Well... 4 55" TVs for $8k, or...

    for $6k.

One solution is far more versatile/useful, the other will hold (if not appreciate) in value.

    Decisions decisions. #firstworldproblems :#

I found a set of all 4 already framed on eBay about 15 years ago. I still haven't built a proper octagonal room with 4 doors in which to hang them. :p

That entire wall is like an ocular migraine waiting to happen.

That being said, the WAF of that TV is off the charts.

That's pretty cool, but that wall would give me a serious case of vertigo!

Update: At night it obviously becomes more obvious that it’s backlit, but still impressed with the overall look.
