Looking to sell my TEAC AI-3000 to get into tubes. Great featured and sounding amp. 70 pounds! It is in great shape and comes with manual, remote, and original box. AMp is in fantastic shape.

    I thought the 703's and this TEAC were an awesome match. Plenty of power to control the polks and a very detailed yet easy to listen to character

    Even though they don't NEED that much power, I thought my 703s really came alive when I hooked them up with a 200 wpc channel Rotel RB-993. and that was using a Rotel HT pre. So I bet this would sound amazing with 703s.

    I am really on the fence with this sale, I like the amp that much. The fit and finish is something I haven't seen out of anything around the original price point (3k), definitely can't find the quality like this at the selling price. It sounds great, has seemingly unlimited power and just has a great presence about it. It certainly is an attention grabber as well

    Zach sold me his Teac AI-2000 when he upgraded to the 3000 which is a step above the 2000.

    It arrive in perfect shape and I have used it with 703's, 705's,Usher mini-X's, SDa 2b's & CRS's (with a Dreandnaught) and it works great plus it has HT bypass :)

    for 2 channel just leave your AVR off, and for HT you set it to HT bypass and the TEAC will power you front speakers and the AVR will control the Volume.

    FWIW I really enjoyed that unit with those Westinghouse tubes in the pre amp section. It was a great match with my 703s

    Ya sure you don't want to wait and try this amp out with the new pre first ? I have a feeling the amp you bought for it's replacement isn't going to be enough for the Focals.

    I'm sure on selling this, yes. The B&K does 14o WPC at 8 ohm. It should be enough, if not I will have to get somehting else sooner than planned. No biggie.
