I drive a 94' Honda Accord Sedan and plan on replacing all 4 of my speakers with new Polk Audio speakers. Anyone have any suggestions on which front/rear speakers I could get. The diameter according to the fit guide for my speaker is 6-1/2'' and I have an Alpine stereo unit. Thanks all greatly appreciate it.

im guessing you have 6.5s in front and 6x9s in the back?
just get the mm6s along with the c300.2 amp to power them and run the 6x9s off the deck

I need an amplifier to power the new speakers im getting? I'm really ignorant about these stuff but I thought you only need an amp when you got some subs. All I want as of right now is new speakers and that's it, Will it still work fine and have it's top performance with nothing?Testing

if you dont want to add an amp, dont get the mm6 components
go with the momo 6.5" coaxials
those will run great off the deck, component speakers dont do so hot off of a deck, especially the power hungry momos

After looking into the amp/subwoofers lol I kinda want them now lol... I think im going to get new speakers front/rear a good amp that can run with it and a subwoofer too. I don't know how I'll be able to pick which one goes with which... like which one is compatible with the other. And also for the Fit Guide thing I put in my car model and it says 6-1/2'' front and rear.. but my brother and you told me the back is 6by9 its weird.. Well tell me what you think would be nice subs/amp/speakers that will put out some great sound thanks

from sounddomain.com you can pick up a mm12 in box for $180
that is a TERRIFIC price
get the c300.2 to power it
if you want the best sound quality that polk offers, get the mm6s and the c300.2 to power them
there are some cheaper alternatives on amps but not by polk
ill post up some links if you want
so in all:
2 c300.2 amps
1 pair of mm6 components
1 mm12 sub with enclosure
its probably very easy for you to check
if you have grilles on your rear deck, are they a circle or an oval?
oval=6x9s
round=6.5s
if you dont have grilles, then pop your trunk and look at where your rear deck would be
do the speakers look oval about 6" across by 9" long?
or do they look round?
now this isnt an exact science, there ARE other sizes that they could be, but in reality, theyre probably 6x9s

my bro works at this place and they get accomodations with Infinity and Polk and he gets 65% off of original price so these set systems will probably be under 350$$ for me hopefully hehe...

Hey why do i need 2 amps thought i only needed 1... and also
1 pair of mm6 components
1 mm12 sub with enclosure
what is the mm6 i know the mm12 with enclosure is the sub unless the mm6 is also the pair of subs going into the enclosure too -
the mm6 components are the 6.5" speakers
they come with a separate tweeter
they will give you the best sound
the other option is the momo coaxial series
the tweeter is part of the speaker
they dont have the powerhandling the mm6 does
if you dont want to have to get 2 amps, then get the coaxials
if you want better sound quality that will get louder, get the mm6's with an amp
