    I like the chimneys for starting charcoal fires. Started with a dump find chimney (duh), went through a couple of cheap ones (which worked fine but burned/rusted out quickly). Bought a Weber chimney (which wasn't expensive, either) and it's served well for -- jeez, I'll bet 7 or 8 years now.

    We grille outside a lot (including dead of winter).

    Chimney full of charcoal, little crumpled up paper underneath. Add flame and 20 minutes later, good to go.

    Chimney user too. I use the outer part of the charcoal bag for the paper and by the time I get to the end of the charcoal all of the bag is used up too.
