Anthem mca325

Hello, buddy of mine pulled the trigger on Mca 325 new to match his anthem avr. He has it on an open shelf and is driving A9’s with the matching centre. When playing at moderate to high levels say -15 , should the amp be so hot you can’t hold your hand on it. Tks for looking.

    Contact Anthem technical support?
  • Their support is really good. At least they have been very helpful to me.

Glad the sound is on point, but the running temp would make me a little worried.

I would take the chassis temperature with an infrared thermometer and then contact Anthem technical support to determine if it is within safe/expected operating temps.

Could be normal. My Aragon amp runs around 125 deg F when up to temp. Perfectly normal given the high bias of the design.
