Any one tried the Mi-Horns? http://mihorn.com/mihorns.htm
I just ordered some for my LSiC. I have bad room accoustics & I hope this will help direct the dialoug. Has anyone tried these? They claim that while watching a movie I would be able to watch at a lower vol & still hear all the dialoug. I dont want it for the front mains or rears just the center. I guess this should make the center more directional.

Never tried them but I own horn speakers. What they claim is correct. Horns are more directional and are louder when facing the listener.

The horn should increase the sensitivity of your LSi. If it works like a real horn, you'll get better dynamics and clarity. However, they can make your speakers sound worse. They might change the overall character of your LSi since the LSi weren't designed to be hornloaded. But you never know until you try. Let us know how it sounds, I may want to try them on my woofers.

I would tend to think this isn't such a great idea. I'm not trying to be a "kill-joy" here, but your speakers are designed with a specific dispersion pattern, and tested/engineered with the components as built---no what I mean? I could be wrong...just something to think about.

I will try the mi horn only on my LSiC. My 15's are excllent & I have no complaints. My LsiC is really a LSiC9 ( hi bred) I have replaced the LSiC cross over with a Lsi9 cross over & much to my liking the center is fuller & dosnt sound empty anymore. Heres a post of the x over change http://clubpolk.polkaudio.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11433&highlight=lsic+crossover My center is used mainly for movies. I dont listen to SCAD ( I dont even have a player to play scad) I Listen to DVDA al ittle ( I have one disk), & we listen to fm radio in 5.1 most of the time so again the center is used mainly for movies. My room acoustics is not great & there is no simple way of correcting it. Right now my center is running slightly hot! Balanced the speakers than turned up the center 2db. Im hopeing that the MH works & I can run all the channels even, without having low dialoug. It would be best if I could move my back wall back about 8-10 ft but its not possible. If this works I have customers who have the same problem This may be a way to get around the problem! Again only get around the problem its not a fix, a fix would be to correct the room! I have had a friend who does HAA calibration run tests on my room & there was no easy fix. Hight was wrong for the room size, depth was bad & I only have 3 walls one side is open to the kitchen & dining area. We moved things around, hung up rugs & stuff which helped some. Always looking for the slight improvement!
