Saying goodbye today to the car that made a statement everywhere it went. The Bluick as the wife would say. Dammit, I paid 2k for the car in 09 and only getting a thousand bucks for it today! So much for that investment! Lol. A teenage kid is coming to get it, I wonder how long it will last him?!

As crappy as they are, they sure are hard to kill.

Eight years of use and only lost a grand of value? That sounds pretty good to me.
-
Yeah, but, it's a GM product. How many grand did you sink into it over the years to keep it going?
-
True on it being a GM but, what car from 96 doesn't need general maintenance? That's all this car ever had. It only has 67k on it and the 3.1 was one of GM's better engines.

67K? did you drive it to the corner and back only? Dang!!!!Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's.

Car only had 18k on it when I bought it. It was the typical story of an old lady going into a home and the daughter didn't want to be seen in it because it was too ugly for her. It served a purpose and was probably the best beater I ever owned and it never quit on me.

Even though it made me laugh sitting here,
Somehow I feel that pic projects another feeling in me that says "That's just wrong"Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -
40 years ago I had my Dobie/German Shepard mix puppy of 6 months or so look at me in just the same way.
I did nothing to him or my girlfriend. But what I did do culminated from a story that would take some typing to give the breakdown of events that led to him looking at me that way.
DOGS ARE SMART and HAVE FEELINGS too. I found that out 40 yrs. ago by owning PRINCE for a short time.
When he got older we let him sit on the front porch. Well there was a pack of roaming dogs in the neighborhood that came around I guess once a week or more. We believe he joined them. We put up fliers to no avail. That was one smart dog. Maybe after what I did, he planned his escape for months. Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -

"That's just wrong" is exactly what that pug was thinking and why he was looking at me that way after that "joke". -
Just sold our 93 Buick Century winter beater with a V6 3800 under the hood best motor GM ever built always started never burned oil had 97K on it sold it for $250 to a college student probably could of got more but it needed some brake work.
I bet he will get a lot more miles out of it great running car almost did not want to sell it but with 3 trucks and a SUV we needed the space plus it gave a student a cheap reliable ride. Getting a thousand for yours is a deal 8 years after paying 2000 for it you got your 1000 out of it plus whoever bought it got a reliable low mileage vehicle.Home Theater
