Does anybody have any news on anything available for the new Mazda 3 Sport GT? I just bought one, and need to gut the system, however, I'd like to keep my steering wheel controls. Is there anyway of by-passing the amp in the deck, and replacing it with an after market Polk/MOMO amp while still maintaining steering wheel functionality?

The dealer told me that if I remove the deck I'll lose the ability to control it from the steering wheel, but they said that if one knew how to by-pass the amp then things would work fine. Has anyone done this yet?

Other question: If I am unable to by-pass the amp, what are the most efficient speakers Polk makes (need 1 set 6 1/4" component, and 1 set 6 1/4" composite)? The factory deck has a measly 20-24W RMS (x4 CH's), any suggestions?

Kindest Regards,

If its a brand new car, then they might not have it, but someone WILL make a kit to be able to install an aftermarket radio and still have use of your steering wheel controls
