Since I'll be the purchaser of ATCVenom's SDAs.

I had a deal on a nice 50w per channel amp that fell through on me but I found a deal on one of these:

I can get a pretty smoking deal and if I can swing it, I'm going to jump on it. I'd share but I don't know how many the guy has and I don't want to share one right out from under myself!

    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    If I can swing the Jolida, I won't have it in time for teh weekend.

    I have a sinking feeling that this dude was blowing smoke up my aft regions 'cause I emailed him Monday morning while I was home and sick and I have yet to hear from him. I emailed him last night and my message got bounced back. Given teh recent email problems due to a worm that is circulating around the Intarweb, it may be nothing to worry about but then again, it wouldn't be the first time this week I was screwed by some punk on the Intaweb.

    The frigging **** backed out on me for that amp! He told me he never said that he would give it to me at cost (~$700) so I sent him the email he sent me a week and a half ago! He denied all of it even though I had it in writing! So now he wants $1925 for that amp and it's MSRP is only about $1500! What kinda nerve is that?

    That bites! Try to look on the bright side, you didn't send him a check only to have him disappear with your money. Check out Antique Sound Labs gear, I really like the one I bought from Hoosier.

    I've been looking at ASL amps for a while. I didn't really want to spend 700 on an amp right now but that was an incredible deal on an amp that was just released last December/January timeframe. I'm still looking around. I just wish people would stop offering me decent deals on nice equipment and then backing out.

    It is most likely for the better, there are 100 other choices out there just as cool and good. Call it....good fortune maybe :)

    The ASL stuff is really nice...you could try the AES(Cary) gear, since it's available in kits, and build your own. You have allready done that anyhow....so it should be fairly easy.
