Having a lot of wireless devices I decided to get rid of my old router & extender setup for simplicity sake and purchased and installed a Linksys Velop 3 node meshed wi fi router system. The coverage is just amazing. got it on cyber monday for $349 and it has magnificent performance as well.
Sitting about as far away from a node as I can be on my patio getting -53 db signal and
on my 50mb/sec Comcast internet service.
Even better than my old WRT1900AC

Ah, nice, man. Those Velops are pretty cool. I helped a friend with a set. I really thought it was going to be gimmicky and not work properly, but was pleasantly surprised. Easier to set up and adjust than trying to configure multiple access points the old fashioned way. Seems like a great way to extend your wifi coverage. He wants additional units now.I disabled signatures.

My google mesh setup is very similar. I think I got it on prime day over the summer. If you have a large and or odd sized space and lots of devices the mesh systems really are awesome...Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

Nice! I wish Apple would update their Airport family with mesh. I enjoy the convenience of Time Capsule backups.

Just go to best buy and pick out any of them. I recommend AC1900 or higher, but that's just personal preference. The Blackhawk by Asus is great. The Linksys EA9500 is great. I have mesh in my home but only for one AP that I can move around. If I wire it back in the mesh drops until it needs connectivity again.Main Surround -

Yeah, I read that on Mac Rumors sometime ago. Apple is still actively marketing them. If they and resellers start dumping them, I think I'll pick up another Extreme and Time Capsule. All Apple/Mac household here and the simplicity (and lack of any issues) works for me. -
I like the Linksys stuff and their UI/Utilities are easy to understand and do understand becoming fluent/loyal to any brand. For that reason alone I chose the Linksys Velop. It uses the same utilities as the other Linksys stuff along with a pretty sweet install utility. My New Year's resolution is 3840 × 2160

That looks like a totally sweet setup, @Mikey081057.
Our home in MD used Linksys devices very effectively. -
The netgear orbi also is a nice product and gives you a wired connection if needed on the extender unit.Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's.

Awesome job. I debate constantly if I want to get a new router for my devices as well, but not sure its worth the hassle.
AT&T provides me with a wireless modem/router combo that likely isnt the best, but since my main stuff is all hardwired to it, the only devices I'd be helping are the phones/laptops and tablets....
And at least for now (meaning the next few days) I'm ok with its existing speed as it would be a pain to reconfigure everything for a new router.
I've also got a wireless extender I could use if I needed to, but it tends to cause more problems if its on due to overlapping coverage areas so I disconnected it.
I just wish my internet would be as fast as some of you guys . My options are Uverse DSL (which I have now), or Brighthouse Cable. Both pretty much suck speed wise compared to Indianapolis proper, and upload speeds are capped to at around 1.5 Mbps which makes me angry."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Dunno what you are paying for the DSL but looks like speeds are S-L-O-W.... If you can someday upgrade your service it would then be nice to have a meshed wireless network.
Your mobile probably gets better service if you are in 4g and can sometimes use that as your hotspot.

Yeah no other options really, that’s it out here. Paying a decent amount from it as well .

i got a nice asus wireless router a few years ago.. its the first router that has not failed on me or had major issues with in the 1st year or so. i have probably had 4 or 5 other routers from other brands and they have all been problematic except for my very first router, that one lasted a few years but the ones after were pretty bad.
this asus has been great for several years and we got allot of stuff running off wireless in the house. we get about 100 mbps internet speed and when i do a speed test on my computer that is being ran on wireless i actually get more than 100mpbs
