Well now I got 6 to 8 weeks of convalescing for my busted up foot. Hurts like hell (well see below) but the 2 channel system that is finished (except for the cables I'm waiting on) will be a great pain reliever. Damn, timing is everything:D I think my music collection is gonna' start growing at an alarming rate. WooooWeeeee! Bring on the "tunes".

I'll give a review the best I can in the near future.

Transparents on their way

P.S. Washed my prescription down with a "cold one"...or two...or three. Hell, no pain here.

    (When I used to drink)

I would always start off with 3-5 shots of rye when I didn't feel good, then things would go up and down hill from there. No, there wasn't much pain, or feeling at all really.....

I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Well, I hope you feel up fast. May I ask how you busted it up?

Those familiar with motorcycling may recognize the term
"low-side". For those not, it basically means one went into a turn too damn fast and ended up kissing pavement. Hopefully it will look like this again soon:

Beautiful VFR, sorry about the lowside. I'm a rider as well, and luckily haven't had to experience any bodily injury....yet; though I did manage to "run over" a Kawi ZX-9 that was spinning on its side in the road (he low-sided), but managed to keep my YZF up, though with alot of fairing/radiator damage (some years ago)...

Best of luck with that foot...

I used to have a Kawasaki Vulcan before my wife encouraged me to sell it and buy her some furniture. Bad decision.

Sorry to hear this. Maybe one day..........

steveinaz, Holy crap, sounds like a change in underwear was in order after that one. One thing for sure, I'm now a firm believer in full leathers and armor. The helmet is a no brainer. Here in Pa. they are not required but I wouldn't think of riding without one.

Cool, my Transparents just arrived so it is off to the den to hook 'em up.

Even though Arizona has no helmet law, I can't imagine riding without one; not so much for the safety factor as the "comfort" factor. I've ridden a couple of times without my helmet and it is pure hell. You can't breath, you have bugs nailing you in the head, the wind blast kills your ears, etc, etc...

I remember cruising down the highway once and in one of those slo-mo instants, saw a big bumble bee floating my way. The thing bounced of the helmet and even snapped my head back a bit. Wouldn't want to consider what it would have done if I didn't had the helmet on.

    Gshime, how bad's the damage?

    regards

LOL..With the new rig, just couldn't help myself!

I too remember having a bug splatterd across a good portion of my face shield. Scared the living crap out of me but was sure damn glad I had a helmet on.

As far as bike damage, it really isn't that bad surprisingly..mostly cosmetic except for a broken mirror, cracked headlight housing and turn signal. The left side hard bag is scratched up real bad as is the left lower cowl and the upper cowl. Seems the hard bag and my foot took the brunt ot the punishment. It is rideable..just not the prettiest thing to look at right now. I'll be getting replacement parts from various scources..Ronayers.com, Servicehonda.com and Dynamohum.com. Will cost a little over $800 to replace everything except for the hard bag. Hope to get that painted. Damn, appears my purchase of some LSi's will be put on hold just a little longer. :(
