Country legend Mel Tillis has passed away at the age of 85. He was known for his golden voice while performing, but stuttered heavily during a normal conversation. Ha had some big tunes in the 1970’s, and appeared in a few feature films.
Thanks for the music.

A great talent, he’ll be missed.. RIP...Some final words,

This is my favorite version of my favorite Mel Tillis song. The sound of the background vocals combined with the steel guitar and strings is so ethereal. Circa 1968, I believe.
