yes it does.. and i'm leaning more towards that direction. I'd love to see a DVI DVD player hooked up to a HDTV via DVI connection.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

I highly recommend the Samsung HD931 DVD player hooked up via DVI. Be forwarned the remote sucks.

that's the one i was looking at.. Ebay is selling them for a decent price it looks like. do you own that one? What did you notice over other cables?
I'm having trouble finding any other DVDp with a DVI output.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

I am only aware of two other Players in my buy range that utilize DVI. Govideo and ...can't remember. Both more expensive and no better than the samsung. I own 9 differant players and for picture quality the HD931 wins. Very basic on features with two exceptions. HD upconvert and automatic picture sizing when connected DVI. The 720P setting is superior to 1080i.

my denon dvd player puked one afternoon , only place open on a sunday was wallmart , picked up a phillips progressive scan dvd player for 79.95 canadian to use while i got the denon fixed . took her home hooked it up to the current monster cables and have decided there is no rush to get the dennon fixed , picture is 100% the same on the phillips , tv is a hitatchi 46f500 widescreen . interesting that the cheap stuff out there now can hold up to stuff 5x the price???
