    I'm at 127.

My family knows me as Johnny Blockbuster. Anytime they want a movie, they drop bye for free rentals with no late fees. How can you beat that deal! I have my collection in an Excel spreadsheet that I update and email to them.

    I'm such a freak!!!
    No excuses!

I have about 110. I thought about keeping them logged on a spread sheet, and then tried that online profiler or something. But you can't print stuff out like that, so I downloaded cover scans of all my DVDs from the e-tailers (DVDExpress & DVDEmpire are two that have great cover scans) and built a massive memory-hogging Word document with all the covers, like about 16 per page. Then I print it out whenever I update it (here at work on the big-time color printer, don't tell). I give it to friends who are always like, "What should we watch when I come over?" I now say: "Consult your list."

you can print with dvdprofiler, you just have to run a report and it opens a new window with all your dvd's, the info you want it to show in the report format you chose, and a print option...

i used the companys' color printer to print-out all the back issues of 'the speaker specialist', then had them velo-bound in the print department. man, do i love abusing employee privileges...:D

236 so far, I can't imagine 400. I have problems now finding new ones with the exception of releases. I keep them according to genra then by actor and then alphabeticly.

That's another thing: how do you keep them?

I do the alphabetized thing. But I find that I need to keep the "series" separate: all the spaghetti westerns, the Woody Allen films, the Bond movies, music concerts, etc.

Only 308 :( Must have more must have more!

I keep mine sorted by studio in two racks. And I use dvd profiler to keep track of them all, though I may set up my own Database on my website.

    ...and you call that modest?
I just went over the 30 mark,
    guess that makes mine immodest.

yeah, i guess it is alot, it's just eveytime i see my friends collection with 130+ more than mine, it makes mine seem small.:( i guess it's all relative....

i wouldn't say your 30 is immodest, i don't know what it is, but i never bought VHS's like this, there is something addictive to buying DVD's...:D

i am at 318, and keep mine in a marantz 301 disc dvd changer. Soon to be adding another one and linking them together. Makes watching dvds easy. Can't think of one to watch, just spin the dial and hit play.

Anyone else had a problem finding racks big enough to hold 300? i got 3 differant racks holding them all...

    Brandon

ps you all see how many b movies are now out on DVD??? They are coming out sooo quickly i can't possibly afford to keep up...

brandon, i've got a full rack and then dvd's on random shelves. i was thinking about getting one of those penguin racks that hold 360 DVD's, but even then, how long will that last me. boltz makes expandable ones, but they are pretty massive... the new kenwood soviergn entre unit looks cool, paired with a 400+3 DVD player, it knows what you have and where it is. feel like a comedy, sort by genre, wants to watch a ridley flick, sort by director, very cool indeed. it's like hardware with built in dvdprofiler...

yeah, it's kenwood, but the soviergn line looks pretty quality. i actually preordered a DVD showing off these components and it incorporated some THX trailers and other goodies! don't think you can sign up to get it anymore, cool disc for free, it was only available before these units were on the market...

promising for what the future has to offer...
