    Sarasota is beautiful and the gulf area around Siesta Key is the nicest beach in the
    country

    Mikey - I've been in touch with Mike. He and his family were such gracious hosts for a brief get together last year, that we're trying to hook up with him again. I assumed you were in the Tampa/Sarasota area too.

    We love Siesta Key (I think it even makes the top 10 nicest beaches in the world!). Didn't get to spend enough time there last year, but plan to spend more relaxing time on the beaches this year!

    I might agree on that beach around Siesta Key, simply awesome. The sand is like powder there. Many nice beaches around the country, all with their own flare. Living on one though, now that's ideal. You guys ever watch that show, Beachfront bargain hunt ?

    I think I've seen every episode. To me it's like watching a fantasy movie. It's what made me decide to go to the Bahamas. Went to Nassua in the spring and it blew me away and this spring I'm going back down to Exuma. I've never been anywhere tropical other than beaches here in the states. I must say the waters in the states don't compare to the Caribbean. When I took a boat excursion to Exuma from Nassua it blew me away, it was like an out of body experience for me.

    This time we're renting a boat for 3 days and going to explore on our own. Excursions are ok but, your time is very limited at each stop you make. There's a little bar on it's own private island down there that's only accessible by boat called Chat & Chill that serves fresh conch salad. I will be there each day gorging on it.
