I don't want to hear the thoughts of anyone who generalizes any genre of music. So you may be right ;)

Make up your mind. Are you talking about hip-hop or about music? There's a big difference.

Seriously? I had a tenor sax scholarship in college, played in lot of bands in my day. There are some GREAT hip hop musicians out now, and a lot of really top shelf young jazz artists incorporating hip hop and funk into their charts. You or your parents didn’t think Elvis or the Beatles were music either dumbarse...

There is a lot of jazz, gospel and blues incorporated into the production of this record. One of the best parts of listening to this artist is him handling the writing, production, mixing and mastering of his work. Very rarely do hip hop artists get full creative control, when they do good things usually follow.
