Old iron monoblocks

Stumbled across a pair of Tomcat Audio amps. Hammond winders. Accepts a plethora of power tubes....

I have a few days back in NC coming up. All I'm gonna do is sit on my patootie and listen.
My warehouse manager has them set up on a pair of Amphions. The source will change as sobriety will allow.
Stay tuned.

What're the small signal tubes in those? 6922, 12A*7... ?

    ^^^ 12au7 ??? I loves the look o' dat "old iron"
  • DSkipDSkip Posts: 15,136
MastersounD uses stock JJ in the 12au7 slot and I can't complain. I have no doubt a replacement would improve it but it sounds great as is. That wasn't the case so much with some other brands I had.
