CS400i, CS-350LS or CSi40?

Hello my fellow Polk-a-maniacs. I was wondering how you would stack up the CS400i, CS-350LS or CSi40 against each other. I think that the consensus is that the CS400i is better than the CSi40 from what I have read so far but I may be wrong. I was wondering what you guys thought beteewn the three? Thanks

It very much depends on what u want to match them with. Both the cs-400/i and the cs-350ls are highly regarded. Easier to find the former however...

    Yup.
What are your other front speakers ?
    RT series..the 400 and 40i.
The LS series....the 350. A no brainer for that.
But if you have other front speakers ... You have to let us know.

    Hello rooftop59 and Tony M,
Thanks for your reply. So Far I have a set of RT800s and a set of RT600s. Man do they sound great together. Tomorrow, I will have a CSi40, (besides a CS-1, a cs101 and a PSB century 100ci Center Channel) along with a set of F/X 500i, a set of RTi70s and a set of RT400s. I was planning to put the CSi40 with the RTi70 as fronts, the F/X 500i as sides on the wall in the living room. I then was going to use the RT600 and the RT400s with one of the cemters in the bedroom until I come across what Im told is best to match.

    I think you're set for a while.
Put the PSB with the bedroom set-up. See how you like it. I love my PSB century (?) center channel. I don't use it but I've heard it and have had it for years. I've had PSB century 600 towers and I reluctantly sold them to help a young college guy get started in Hi Fi sound system listening over headphones.

But maybe one of your centers tweeters WILL blend better than the PSB. You'll have to see. I had a friend that loved the PHANTOM center setting ! He gave me his POLK CSi 5 or 6 center for safe keeping. I still have it.

  • Wow, the CSi40 with the RTi70 as fronts, the F/X 500i as sides and the RT800 as rears and a PSW505 sound awsome together The RT600 and the RT400 sound great together also. Now I gotta figure out what works with them for the bedroom, using the CS-1, CS101 or the PSB century 100ci for Center Channel. I have a set of Polk R10, a set of M2 and a set of PSB Alpha A/V Bookshelf as possible sides.

  • On Monday I went on a little shopping spree. I have acquired a CSi40. I was also able to add to the RT family a set of RTi70 and a set of RT400. I also purchased a set of F/X500i, a set of M2, a CS-1 and a CS101. I have put the CSi40 with F/X500i as sides, the RTi70 as fronts and the RT800 as rears. Wow, they sound awsome.
  • Today I acquired a CS400i and a set of RT1000i. The The CS400i will replace the CS40i in the living room system. The CS40i and the set of RT1000i will go in the bedroom with the RT600. I think I will try the two PSW10 subs I have if there isnt enough bass.
