Hi all,
New to the forum.
My current monitor speaker setup is:
Polk Audio Monitor Series CS2 Center Channel Speaker
2xPolk Audio Monitor 60 2-Way Floorstanding Speaker
2x Polk Audio Monitor 40 2-Way Bookshelf Speaker
Polk Audio PSW125 12-Inch Powered Subwoofer
My Onkyo TX-NR656 7.2 Channel Network A/V Receiver is on its last leg (early stages of HDMI failure) and I'm looking for recommendations for a new unit. Prefer to move away from Onkyo (possibly toward a Denon). Thoughts?

Budget?
Amazon has new Denon for cheap as they are clearing out older stock for the 2018 models

or you can pick from A4L for refurb even cheaper https://www.accessories4less.com/
Yamaha RX-AXXXX , Denon AVR-X***** or Marantz
Your sub is decent but if budget permits any HSU or SVS sub will be much better. When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

Thank you! These units are definitely within budget. Leaning towards the AVR-X3300W.

For the same price, the x4200w seems like a no-brainer...any reason not to go with this over the x3300W?

no not really, If it was my choice I think I would get the refurb X4200W over the new X3300. Only upside to the X3300 is it is a newer model so it will receive firmware upgrades longer.
I would also look at the A4L X3300 and see if you can toss in an SVS or HSU sub to your budget. http://hsuresearch.com/products/vtf-2mk5.htmlWhen I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.
