  • Infinity of that vintage spent more on mid/tweeter drivers and crossover design than most of the other makers of the time. They created speakers that sounded great, but really required beefy gear to make them work properly.

    The big Infinities (like those in the OP) sounded pretty decent to me. The small ones (i.e., the "monkey coffins" of the late 1970s and beyond) are way too bright for my ears.
