Great score this morning

I found a steal on Facebook marketplace this morning that I couldn't pass up. So I got a pair of rt55i's, a pair of fx500i's, a cs400i, a tl2 center, and finally the icing on the cake a dsw pro 660wi all for 50 bucks.

    Ty. I may be parting out the rt55i's as they do have some scuffs and part of the front is peeling but I have a set of rti70 that has a blown speaker and replace it with. The cs400 is replacing my cs245. And I'm gonna put the dsw 660 up against my velodyne dls4000 and see which one is gonna stay in the living room.

    Rti70 uses different components that the rt55i. I would personally rather use the rt55is, tighter bass, better tweeter better overall. U can lightly sand and paint if u want, and either remove the back laminate face covering and paint the wood or glue it down...

    Wow, what a find. I was watching this listing on ebay that ended on Oct 1 for only $20.50. Not as good but still a ceazy deal. Unfortunately I did not bid due to it being about a four hour drive.

    You have to be looking to find them.
    I didn't look at Craig's list last night and missed one. In the "for free" section.

    I don't know what kind of "name brand stereo with speakers" were given away by a sweet innocent sounding elderly lady last night. When I called her this morning .....12 hours after her posting, she said somebody called her to claim the stereo last night with-in 10 min.! 10 min !
    And she apologized to me for my loss. How sweet is that.

    I could've asked her what brand name her stereo and speakers were but was afraid she might have said McIntosh, Pioneer, Marantz or Sansui... With matching speakers or the stereo came with some REALLY BIG POLK AUDIO speakers with LOTS of SPEAKERS in each one. It's best I don't know or I might have started drinking again if is was one of the above.

    Sometimes GOD helps us get what we want or keeps us from buying something we don't have room for anymore. The old Rolling Stones song comes to mind....
    Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

    Hey you know what the standing mantra is. No kids, cats, candles or live plants anywhere near audio gear. Looks like rule #1 clearly broken. As for the scorned wife/girlfriend I kinda got my 2Bs that way. Husband passes years ago,wife needs to down size and has no idea what the gear is worth and $50 later I got my '87 2Bs. If I had more cash I could of had a bonanza of audiophile quality gear. You did very well as you already know.
